Acceptable Use Policy

This is a plain-language draft of what we expect from anyone using the platform, not attorney-reviewed contract language.

1. Purpose

This policy sets out what's expected of anyone using Gelezanathi — school administrators, teachers, and learners — so the platform stays safe, fair, and useful for every school on it.

2. Who this applies to

Everyone accessing Gelezanathi under a school account: administrators, teachers, and learners.

3. Prohibited uses

Accessing, or attempting to access, another school's account, data, or learners' information.
Sharing login credentials between staff members or learners, or letting someone use your account.
Using AI-assisted features to generate content that is harmful, dishonest, or inappropriate for a school environment.
Attempting to bypass, disable, or interfere with the platform's security controls.
Scraping, reverse-engineering, or reselling access to the platform or the question bank.
Using the platform to harass, bully, or discriminate against any learner, teacher, or staff member.

4. Learner use

Learners should use Gelezanathi as directed by their teacher and school, for assessment and learning purposes. Schools are responsible for the age-appropriateness of how they roll the platform out to their learners.

5. Consequences of violations

We may suspend or terminate access for any account that violates this policy, particularly anything involving unauthorised access to another school's data or harm to a learner.

6. Reporting misuse

If you see something that looks like a violation of this policy, tell us through our Help Centre or email support@gelezanathi.co.za.

7. Changes to this policy

We'll update the "last updated" date above if this policy changes.
