By creating an account or using Gelezanathi, your school, and the teachers and learners it authorises, agree to these Terms of Service. Where your school has a separate signed agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence over anything here that conflicts with it.
Gelezanathi contracts with schools. Teachers, learners, and school administrators use the platform under a school's account, subject to whatever access and permissions the school sets.
Pricing and subscription terms have not been finalised. This draft is not an offer to purchase or a live subscription agreement. Final terms would be provided and agreed before any future school service begins.
Your school retains ownership of the learner, staff, and assessment data it puts into Gelezanathi. Gelezanathi and its licensors own the underlying software, design, and the parts of the question bank we've built ourselves — using the platform doesn't transfer ownership of either to the other party.
AI-assisted features — drafting assessments, practice sets, or report summaries — are designed to support a teacher's judgment, not replace it. We don't guarantee AI-generated content is error-free, and it's always presented as a draft for review before it reaches a learner or parent.
We work to keep Gelezanathi reliable, especially during the school day, but we don't currently publish a formal uptime guarantee. The platform is actively evolving — features may be added, changed, or removed as we build out the roadmap, and we'll aim to give reasonable notice of anything that meaningfully affects how your school works day to day.
Either party may terminate in line with the notice period in your school's agreement, or, absent a separate agreement, with reasonable written notice. On termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Gelezanathi is provided on an "as is" basis while we're an early-stage platform. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the fees your school paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, unless your school's signed agreement says otherwise.
We'll update the "last updated" date if these terms change, and tell schools directly about any material change.
